Stay at Versailles

Years ago when Mum and I were in France we visited Versailles. The place was amazing and you could spend hours walking around the gardens. So of course the idea of being able to sleep overnight if not in the actual palace but next door is crazy tempting.

Sorry the photo isn't great but that is my Mum in the Hall of Mirrors. It is incredible and a brilliant example of how mirrors across from windows make a room look huge.

We spent a wonderful day at Versailles and I would definitely recommend it. The only thing is before you go make sure the fountains will be on. We missed it by only a day or two and whilst it was amazing those fountains would have been even more spectacular on. Check out the official site.
